What is a hero? A hero is an individual who uses their talents and abilities for the good of others as opposed to their own good. In MARVEL UNITED the players take on the roles of heroes in the Marvel United Universe. A hero who is being controlled by a player is called a Player-Character or PC. One that is being run by the Storyteller, including most opponents and supporting characters, is called a Non-Player Character or NPC.

Here in Marvel United the "Modern Age of Heroes" started officially with the public debut of Superman and his rescue of the experimental shuttle containing the four who would become the first Family of Super Heroes, The Fantastic Four. Where in the real world both universes have only touched an few rare occasions, here at Marvel United they have been merged since the beginning of time. Within these digital walls, you can select to play the role of one of your favorite heroes from DC, Marvel, or other superhero comics, and face the villains of the Marvel United world.

The room is based upon the TSR Marvel Super Heroes RPG. From time to time you will be asked to make die rolls to determine the outcome of your actions. Dice are mostly reserved for large room wide role plays, leaving individual role plays to a more free form design. These die rolls and their results are based upon the classic Marvel Super Heroes RPG Dice system. The system we have developed here is simple and our Storytelling staff consisting of Exusiai, Da Brat, Ali, and Lady J are here to assist you as you need them. Also several of our players are versed in the system as well. So if you have any questions feel free to seek one of us out.

• Avatars can be no bigger than 450 pixels in height. As each room may have their own limit MU's limit is 450
  
  
• No harrassing of anyone. If someone harasses you then by all means tell one of the Storytellers and we will make sure it stops.
  
  
• If a character is not registered on the Message Board, then that character is not allowed into play. you are limited to a selection of two DC, and 2 Marvel heros.
  
  
• We have an easy but strict character creation process. Please make sure you read all the threads thuroughly and comply with everything asked. We're rather easy going as far as stats go so if you find your character is not approved, please read threads and make sure you've followed everything properly. I refuse to chase down players to make sure they cross every "T" and dot every "i".
